History:
1782:   Construction of the first Methodist chapel
1819:   Reconstruction
1851:   First sett quarry opened in Nant Gwrtheyrn
1878:   Capel Seilo built for the Calvinistic Methodists (cost of £ 300)
1900:   Capel Seilo had 40 people on their books and around 60 went to Sunday School
1914:   Chapel goes into decline, as the local quarries’ fortunes waxed and waned
2003:   Chapel rebuilt and reconsecrated; opening of the heritage centre with a concert with the Super Furry Animals and Rhys Ifans
